Curator's Note:

Warmth and distance, color and restraint — nature thriving within the cold. Painted after returning from Colombia following half a decade away from family, the work holds a moment suspended between reunion and unresolved tension.

Layers of saturated color form a lush ground, while white florals emerge as quiet symbols of endurance. They bloom despite the “winter” — a metaphor for time held still by absence and transition. The painting reflects a reckoning with home, memory, and continuation. Frozen emotions begin to melt. The journey does not end; it transforms.
