Jazz in Bloom

Curator's Note
The idea came from flowers that bloom through concrete. Nature has a way of appearing in the most unexpected places, even through something as rigid and heavy as concrete.
While painting, the forms started to feel like petals in motion. The strokes became loose and rhythmic, almost like a dance. At some point the movement reminded me of jazz—improvised, alive, and constantly unfolding. The piece became less about the concrete itself and more about the movement of life pushing through it.
